DJ Mix Deck plays audio files from your device — it doesn't come with any music of its own.
Connect the phone to a Mac or PC, open Finder (or the Apple Devices app on Windows), select your phone, go to the Files tab, expand DJ Mix Deck and drag your audio in. Those files then appear in the picker under On My iPhone → DJ Mix Deck.
You can also save files into the Files app from Mail, AirDrop, Dropbox or anywhere else, and pick them from there.
MP3, WAV, M4A and AIFF. Anything iOS itself can decode should load.
No. Tracks from streaming services are protected and can't be opened by other apps — that's a restriction from the services, not something DJ Mix Deck can work around. You'll need audio files you own, such as purchased downloads or your own recordings.
Each track is analysed for tempo and downbeat when it loads. Press SYNC and the incoming deck's tempo is matched to the other one and its beat lined up. The two then stay locked together, so a long blend won't drift apart.
If a track has an unusual rhythm and the detected tempo looks wrong, you can always ride the tempo fader by hand instead — it runs to ±16%.
It turns on key lock, which holds the pitch steady while you change the tempo. Without it, a 16% tempo change is a very audible shift in pitch. It doesn't detect the musical key of a track — DJ Mix Deck doesn't do key detection.
You need a splitter cable that separates the output into two mono feeds — one for your headphones, one for the speakers.
SPLIT is deliberately switched off and greyed out on the built-in speaker — there's no second output to cue into. Your phone can't detect a passive splitter, which is why this is a switch you turn on rather than something automatic.
Tap the ⋯ on a deck to open its panel. Hold an empty pad to set a cue there, tap a full one to jump to it, hold a full one to clear it. Loops can be set with in and out, or taken from the grid in beats — half a beat up to sixteen.
Yes. Switch to the turntable view with the VINYL button in the top right. A finger on the platter holds and moves the record like a real one. Dragging the tonearm drops the needle somewhere else in the track.
Yes. There are no in-app purchases, no subscription and no account. It's given away by AI Jingle Maker, and the app shows one card saying so.
None. The app makes no network requests at all and works in airplane mode. Your audio files never leave your device. See the privacy policy.
The audio engine the app is built on includes microphone support, and iOS requires every app using that engine to declare it — even when it's unused. DJ Mix Deck never records and never asks for microphone access.
